PREP ROUNDUP: Wildcats soccer team ties

The Alpena High School boys varsity soccer team tied 2-2 with Lake Fenton on Thursday in Fenton.

The Wildcats record stands at 2-0-1.

“The team as a whole got off to a sluggish start,” coach Gregg Supiran said in a statement. “They struggled to possess the ball and defend. Lake Fenton got an early goal and followed up with a second not too long afterwards. The rest of the half was scoreless.

“The team slowly began to get things together and came out the second half with a lot more possession and improved defending,” Supiran added.

Keller skiba scored a goal off a pass from Jack Supiran with approximately 10 minutes left and, with just a few minutes left in the game, Skiba tallied another goal from an Owen Kaiser assist.
