The Alpena Fire Department and the American Red Cross united in a Smoke Alarm Blitz initiative and reached a significant milestone on Thursday by installing 141 smoke alarms and 36 detectors for carbon monoxide and smoke, impacting the lives of 98 individuals in 36 homes.
