Students at All Saints Catholic School have been learning firsthand what it means to give alms to support those in need. After completing their Alpena Baby Pantry project, students learned about other children in the world who don’t have the same educational opportunities, explaining what school was like for at St. Louis Nursery and Primary School Mataka in Nigeria. ASCS students were then encouraged to collect coins to help the Nigerian schools get more benches for learning. Nearing the $1,588 goal, the students raise $988 which will provide the Nigerian schools with 76 new benches.
