Thirteen people — Brian and Julie Bartosh, Mark and Nancy Sorensen, Amber Sylvester, Andy Blinder, Annistyn Mikeal, Brian Heft, Dave Post, Gordon Cordes Jr, Hannah Armon, Madelyn Slamka, Robert Tronge — showed up to do their part and volunteered on May 16 to participate in the Hillman Area Chamber of Commerce roadside clean up of State Street between M-32 and Carrier Street. Ten bags of trash were collected and following the cleanup Top O` Michigan provided the volunteers with a cookout of burgers and hot dogs along with an opportunity to discuss other ways to help improve the Hillman area.
