Inmate’s housed in Alpena Jail – 15

Feb. 19

3:20 p.m. A welfare check on a family member in Rust Township was requested. Deputies responded to the residence, there was no one living at the residence, the family member was advised.

Feb. 20

8:56 a.m. An alarm company called to report a residential burglar alarm at a residence in Albert Township. Contact was made with the homeowner and she advised no response was needed the cat set off the motion alarm.

11:13 a.m. A resident of Vienna Township came in to report a larceny. The report was taken, investigation is ongoing at this time.

11:26 a.m. A welfare check was requested on a resident of Avery Township by a delivery service, the resident hadn’t been picking up his packages, a deputy responded to the residence, the subject was found to be fine.

Feb. 21

6:41 a.m. A Hillman resident reported a possible fire in a light fixture in the bathroom, fire was contained and no injuries were reported.

4:28 p.m. A Hillman resident was taken into custody and lodged in Alpena Jail after stealing alcohol from a local convenience store.

4:30 p.m. MCSO was contacted by Otsego county, because they a subject in custody that showed an active warrant for Montmorency County, a deputy responded to Otsego and the subject was transported to Alpena Jail to be lodged.

Feb. 22

5:36 p.m. Lewiston business reported a man was assaulted by 4 subjects in the parking lot, investigation is ongoing.

9:15 p.m. A Lewiston resident reported multiple subjects trespassing on her property while looking for a dog, subjects were warned to not trespass on callers property.

Feb. 23

10:17 a.m. A deputy arrested a male subject on a probation violation, he transported the subject to Alpena Jail to be lodged.

10:05 p.m. A vehicle deer accident was reported to the center; an officer responded and took report.

Feb. 24

7:24 a.m. A single vehicle crash was reported in Montmorency Township. Deputies along with Tri Township Fire and EMS all responded to the scene.

3:41 p.m. The report of a neighbor dog coming onto their property and killing many of their chickens was made to dispatch. The parties decided to settle the cost of the chickens amongst themselves.
