ALPENA — Vivero Industries, a marketing and event planning agency in Alpena, has announced that they will be partnering up with Sunrise Centre in bringing Josey Scott’s Saliva to the APlex Events Complex on July 12, alongside special guests Katharsys Theory of Alpena and Driving Dawn of Gaylord.

Josey Scott broke through the music industry with his former band Saliva in 2002. In 2002, they went on to release their second studio album “Every Six Seconds.” Saliva later released their third studio album titled “Back into Your System” which reached No. 19 on the Billboard 200. “Back into Your System” launched one of Saliva’s most successful songs, “Always”, reaching No. 51 on the Billboard Hot 100 and No. 1 on the Modern Rock Chart.

Vivero Industries is partnering with Sunrise Centre, a treatment and recovery facility, to raise funds to support the construction of a brand-new treatment facility in Alpena. All proceeds from this event directly support the capital campaign, raising funds to improve and enhance vital treatment services in Northeast Michigan, according to Madeleine McConnell, executive director of Sunrise Centre.

“We’re thrilled to host this concert in support of Sunrise Centre and their invaluable work in our community,” stated Carlos Vivero (Vivero Industries). “We are experiencing a tremendous shift in the recovery community as we speak. This is the perfect opportunity to promote awareness of substance use disorder, and the resources that Sunrise Centre has to offer to help battle this disorder.”

“This event holds much importance to us because we are part of the recovery community ourselves,” stated Shannon Vivero. “We chose Josey Scott as he himself is in recovery, and he is also a Peer Recovery Coach. All will come full circle at this event.”

In the spirit of fostering a supportive environment, this will be a sober gathering, and alcohol will not be served at the venue. However, attendees will be able to enjoy mocktails and concessions available for sale. Additionally, for security reasons, bags, backpacks, and purses are not permitted inside the venue, except for those containing medical devices.

The doors of the APlex will open at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, July 12 for VIP ticket holders and 6 p.m. for general admission attendees. General Admission tickets are priced at $45, while VIP tickets are available for $85, offering exclusive perks such as a VIP badge/lanyard, VIP poster, and special VIP area.

Tickets will go on sale at 9 a.m. on Friday, March 15 at www.aplex.org. For more information about the event, visit www.viveroindustries.com.
