CHEBOYGAN -- A 24-year-old man from Rogers City was arraigned in 89th District Court in Cheboygan County on one count of second-degree criminal sexual conduct of a person younger than 13.
The Michigan State Police-Sault Ste. Marie Post investigated an alleged sexual assault of a child that happened earlier this year, which was later determined to have allegedly happened in Cheboygan County.
After interviewing the alleged victim at a Children's Advocacy Center and authorizing an arrest warrant on Feb. 1, the 24-year-old man was arrested by the Traverse City Police Department on Wednesday and was transported to the Cheboygan County jail.
The man's bond was set at $50,000 cash surety and his next court appearance is set for Thursday.
