Feb. 5

3:55 a.m.: A tree on CR 489 fell on a power line, PIE&G responded all cleared without incident.

3:04 p.m.: Community Financial Credit Union reported a customer became angry in their lobby, subject was taken home and all was resolved.

5:00 p.m.: An intoxicated driver was stopped on M-32 near Big Rock Church, subject was taken to ACJ for OWI.

Feb. 6

12:25 a.m.: A Hillman resident reported his carbon monoxide detector was been doing off for over 3 minutes, Hillman Fire responded and all responders cleared without incident.

9:52 a.m.: Lewiston resident made a dog at large complaint to the department.

6:15 p.m.: A Lewiston resident reported she and her daughter had seen a suspicious subject in the woods near their home, the subject was unable to be located.

Feb. 7

4:24 a.m.: A vehicle was towed from M-32 location due to it being abandoned and a road hazard.

3:33 p.m.: An officer responded to a residence in Albert Twp for roommates having a dispute. The subjects were separated and officers cleared at 4:12 p.m.:.

5:05 p.m.: A DNR officer had an abandoned vehicle towed from Co Rd 612 near Frisbee Dr in Lewiston.

8:53 p.m.: A semi-truck driver notified dispatch that he hit a low hanging communications line in the Village of Hillman. Hillman Fire Dept and Sunrise Communication responded to repair the line.

10:06 p.m.: A Jackson resident reported that a male subject was threatening him to take him to a Loud TWP property, caller was advised to avoid contact with subject.

Feb. 8

5:13 a.m.: Caller advised a vehicle was in the ditch on CR 612, female subject was taken to OMH for an evaluation.

3:12 p.m.: A traffic stop resulted in a warrant arrest out of Oakland county, subject is being held in ACJ for pick up.

4:16 p.m.: Dispatch received a message from Iosco County that they are about to release a 37-year-old female that has a warrant out of MCSO. Subject was able to bond out on warrant in Iosco County.

7:35 p.m.: Residential burglar alarm in Comins, ADP advised of false alarm before LE arrived.

9:54 p.m.: A commercial burglar alarm came into the center from Hillman Village; officers responded and found the building to be secure. Officers cleared without incident.

11:20 p.m.: A report of a possible intoxicated driver was made to the department; while on routine patrol an officer initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle in question–the male driver was found to be intoxicated and was arrested then later lodged in Alpena County Jail.

Feb. 10

9:16 a.m.: An officer picked up a brown female hound dog from a residence on M-32 in Rust Twp. The dog was taken to the Elk County Animal Shelter.

5:23 p.m.: An erratic driver was reported in Briley Township; an officer located the vehicle and initiated a traffic stop. The male driver was found to be operating under the influence of alcohol and arrested then later lodged at Alpena County Jail.

8:54 p.m.: A dispute was called into the center by a subject in Hillman Village–officers responded and parties agreed to settle down for the evening. Deputies cleared without incident.

9:39 p.m.: Hillman Fire Department was requested and responded for mutual aid in Hawks for a structure fire; all Hillman units cleared without incident.

10:29 p.m.: A vehicle deer accident was reported in Hillman Township; the driver was not injured and a report was taken.

Feb. 11

2:43 p.m.: An officer responded to a 2-vehicle accident on M-33 near Ranch House Trail. No one was injured, both vehicles were drivable.8:16 p.m.: A call came into the center about a dog at large on M-32; officers responded to the area and were unable to locate the dog in question.

8:58 p.m.: A neighboring jurisdiction requested the assistance of deputies in locating a subject who had a warrant–Deputies responded and located the male subject. The male was arrested then transported to the county line and turned over to a neighboring officer. All units cleared without incident.

9:10 p.m.: A welfare check was requested for an Avery Township resident–the female was found to be fine.
