ACC WOMEN TAKE LEAD

Alpena Community College women’s basketball took the win against North Central Michigan, 57-41, on Wednesday.

Emily Jackson led the team with 15 points. Allie Urlaub wasn’t far behind with 14 points. Makayla Kamyszek also had a double-digit night with 12 points.

“Proud of our response tonight!” said coach Brandon Humphrey. “We played some great team basketball. Our third quarter was also one of our best of the season and helped us in a big way! Shout out to Emily Jackson who put up a monster stat line tonight! She’s a special player and will only continue getting better as she continues putting in the work!”

ACC MEN LOSE TO NCM

Alpena Community College men’s basketball lost to North Central Michigan, 81-55, on Wednesday.

Leading scorers were Elijah Hennings with 13 points and Davarion Mitchell with 10 points.

“Alpena came out slow and couldn’t keep up with North Central,” said coach Bobby Allen. “As their coach, I could not get them motivated enough to play a full forty minutes. Back to the drawing board we go.”
