APS host CTE and Industry Expo

Alpena High School’s Career and Technical Education Department is holding the CTE and Industry Expo from 5-7 P.M. at AHS on Tuesday.

The event will be in an open house format with the purpose of showing students, parents, and the community demonstrations by current CTE students, touring the top-notch facilities, learning about the program offerings, and discussing career opportunities with professionals currently employed in related fields. Area employers will be on hand to meet with students and families about careers utilizing the skills learned in AHS CTE programs.

Enrollment in CTE programs is open to students in Alcona, Atlanta, and Hillman as well as high school students attending AHS and Alternative Choices for Educational Success. Alpena High School offers 11 high-quality, career-focused pathways for students to choose from: Business and Digital Media Technology, Health Care Occupations, Welding, Marketing, Automotive and Construction Technology, Teacher Academy, Mechatronics, Drafting and CAD Technology, Agriscience and Natural Resources, Woodworking.
