Alpena is changing the plumbing, mechanical, and electrical codes on March 12.
The plumbing code will change to the 2021 Michigan Plumbing Code, mechanical to the 2021 Michigan Mechanical Code, and electrical to the 2023 National Electrical Code. All electrical, mechanical, and plumbing permits issued on or after March 12 will use these codes.
