Courtesy Photo Members of the AHS Woods Track Club stand together at their meet at Saginaw Valley State University where they began their indoor season. Alpena Senior Julian Stevens raced to an indoor State Qualifying time of 7.30 in the 60m Dash. Junior Melody Kauffman threw 29’9 1/2” in Shot Put, good for a second finish in the event. Thorin Rogers ran a 7.50 PR in the 60m as well as 24.15 in the 200m. To round out the day, Alpena throwers Claire Mitchell and Keira Paad tossed 19’ 5 1/4” and 19’ 2 1/2”, respectively. The Woods Track Club is back in competition at SVSU on Saturday.
