Northern Strike continues

The winter iteration of Exercise Northern Strike 24-1, hosted by the Michigan National Guard, is scheduled to take place across Northern Michigan’s National All-Domain Warfare Center, Jan. 22-25.

Northern Strike is a semi-annual Army National-Guard sponsored exercise that is a tailorable, scalable, and cost-effective readiness producer. Participants will brave cold weather conditions while training to meet the objectives of the Department of Defense’s arctic strategy.

The NADWC, which includes Camp Grayling Joint Maneuver Training Center and the Alpena Combat Readiness Training Center, offers a cost-effective way for units across the Department of Defense to experience arctic-like cold-weather conditions while training in joint all-domain operations.

The ability to easily transport people and equipment to Camp Grayling via railway and roadway helps units save time, money, and training days. This year’s winter exercise will consist of participants from the Army and Air Force Special Operations Forces and Emergency Response Teams.
