Alcona just misses

Alcona's boys basketball team lost to Ogeman Heights, 37-38, on Monday.

Lead scorers for the game were Garrett Somers with 10 points, Jacob Renchenski with eight points, and Evan Borsvold with five points.

Head coach Alex Cole said, "Tough loss right at the end of a hard-fought game. I thought the team executed the defensive game plan all night and gave us a chance to win. Unfortunately, we couldn't close it out at the end. I feel this is a good learning experience for all of us and something we can build on as we enter the heart of conference play."

The Tigers play at Rogers City on Thursday at 6 p.m.
