AHS wrestling competed at Grayling's Don Ferguson Invitational tournament on Saturday. The tournament featured individual boys and girls divisions for 23 MHSAA schools.
The Wildcats brought home several medals from the competition, including Gillian Merrill who took fourth place in the girls' 235-pound weight class.
Others medalists included Carter Stark, who took fifth place in the 157-pound weight class, Brody Oliver who took sixth place in the 150-pound weight class, and Lyrik Ricketts who took sixth place in the 175-pound weight class.
Cayden Smith, 132-pound weight class, and John Dargis, 285-pound weight class, each earned two wins, falling just short of the medal rounds.
Alpena wrestling will be back in action on Wednesday for a dual meet in Carrollton at 5:30 p.m.
