ALPENA -- Gavin Krueger, a 27-year-old Ossineke man facing charges of supplying drugs to two individuals who died of drug overdoses, has his court appearance scheduled for Tuesday.
Krueger is currently facing two counts of delivery of a controlled substance causing death, one count of using a computer to commit a crime of twenty years to life, and one count of possession of a firearm while committing a felony.
According to Krueger's attorney, Devin Pommerenke, the case is scheduled for preliminary examination but conversations and negotiations are still ongoing so that could be subject to change.
"The case is gonna move forward one way or another," said Pommerenke. "We anticipate a (preliminary examination), but it's still a little bit early. We are always in potential conversation and negotiation with the prosecutor."
Krueger was arrested on July 23, in Vero Beach, Florida by the Indian River County Sheriff's Office for the death of two men in Alpena Township who died from a drug overdose on March 18.
Kruger is alleged to be the individual who provided those men with the drugs that they overdosed on.
On Aug. 10, Krueger was transported from Florida to Michigan by the Michigan State Police 7th District Fugitive Team and lodged in the Alpena County Jail.
Krueger had a court appearance scheduled in the 88th District Court on Aug. 28 but had his court appearance adjourned to give both sides time to review the evidence.
The examination begins Tuesday morning at the 88th District Court.
