Crash on U.S.-23 intersection

ALPENA — A two-vehicle collision occurred on Friday within the Johnson Street and North U.S.-23 intersection. According to Alpena City Police, the minivan was making a left onto Johnson Street when a car heading north on U.S.-23 disobeyed a red light and crashed into the vehicle. Two people were in each vehicle and only the passenger of the Viking Cab minivan was sent to MyMichigan Medical Center Alpena for further medical evaluation since first responders observed minor injuries. Alpena City Police officers, firefighters, and emergency medical responders were present to aid those involved in the crash.
