Alpena volleyball receives honors

Alpena High School’s girls’ volleyball team was honored with two spots on the All Big North Conference team.

The coaches from the Big North Conference have selected two players from AHS to be part of the all-conference team. Avery Dubey, a senior, has been chosen for the 1st Team, while Madelynn Cameron, a freshman, has received Honorable Mention.

“I am proud and happy for both Avery and Madelynn to be recognized by the coaches of the Big North Conference,” said Athletic Director Jon Studley.

“Avrey has been an offensive leader for us this year and she has been voted as one of the top setters in our conference. Madelynn led our team this year in blocks and hitting percentage and she is rightfully being recognized by the BNC as an up and coming talent,” said Head Coach Kolby Andrews.
