Voters reject Onaway bond proposals

ONAWAY -- Voters in Onaway Area Schools rejected two bond proposals brought by the district in tonight’s election.

The school district asked voters for two separate bond sales -- one that would raise $11.6 million and another that would raise about $6 million.

Voters said no to both, with the $11.6 million proposal falling 53% to 47% and the $6 million proposal falling 61% to 39%.

Also in Onaway, Andrew Bischer and Roger Marsh won seats on the Onaway City Commission.
