TRAVERSE CITY — The Alpena High girls golf team finished seventh of 11 teams at Sundance at A-Ga-Ming in Traverse City Central’s Big North Conference Invitational on Monday with a team score of 412.

Grace Bouchard led the team with an 8th-place 93.

Alpena’s JV team finished with a team score of 520. Alivia Garrow led JV with a 120, taking sixth place among JV scores.

Alcona 8, Fairview 0

FAIRVIEW — The Alcona soccer team picked up another win in Fairview Monday by a score of 8-0. 

Colin McKenna got the scoring started, followed by two goals from Preston Sharp, and a goal each by Danica Manning, Cole Upper, Dawson Rigby, Matt Abee and finalized by Carter Upper ending in a mercy win. 

Michael Nevin had seven saves in goal.  Alcona improves to 2-4-3 and hosts Harbor Light on Thursday.
