Parkinson's Support Group to meet Monday

Alpena Garden Club meets at ACC
The September meeting of the Alpena Garden Club took place at ACC. Serving as the hostesses were Stephanie Huffaker, Judy Ewing, Katherine Stedman, and Bonnie Plowman. The chairman of each garden gave a report on their garden. The gardens are beautiful. John Heath from the Besser Museum gave a very interesting and in-depth presentation on the subject of how indoor and outdoor lighting affects our world. Plans were discussed for upcoming holidays. New members are always welcome. Come join us.
Fight the Fall kickoff begins next Friday
Thunder Bay Fyzical will begin its Fight the Fall kickoff on Sept. 22, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 348 Long Rapids Plaza in Alpena.
Free fall risk screens will be offered. Schedule a free 10-minute fall screen to determine your risk of falling as compared to your peers. Based on those results, they will determine your next best course of action to improve your balance.
