LOCAL SPORTS ROUNDUP: Posen wins big vs. Charlton Heston; Alcona soccer earns first W
The Posen football team’s momentum just keeps building.
Jack Romel accounted for four total touchdowns, Ethan Romel and John Ennest had two scores each and the Vikings powered past Charlton Heston 64-6 on Friday.
Posen (4-0) will play Mio on Thursday. Through four games, the Vikings have scored 216 points and allowed just 46 points to opponents.
Jack Romel finished Friday’s game with 169 yards and three touchdowns on 15 carries. He was also 5-of-6 passing for 131 yards and a touchdown.
Ethan Romel had 110 yards and two scores on nine carries; Ennest had 96 yards and two scores on three carries.
Eli Chojnacki had six carries for 61 yards and one catch for 21 yards; Logan Timm had a touchdown and 110 yards on four receptions.
On defense, Chojnacki had seven solo tackles and seven assists; Ennest had two sacks; and Colton Paull had six solo tackles and two assists.

Alcona 8, Fairview 0
The Alcona soccer team earned its first win of the 2023 season, defeating Fairview 8-0 on Monday and got goals from eight different players.
Preston Sharp got the scoring started followed by Cole Upper, Colin McKenna, Carter Upper, Dawson Rigby, Anthony Perez, Vinny Mahalak, and finished off by Vincent Nardi. Alcona (1-3-2) plays next Monday at Oscoda at 7 p.m. under the lights.
