ALPENA — An Alpena man will face 50 months to 20 years incarceration after being sentenced Monday to controlled substance delivery in 26th Circuit Court in Alpena.
Jesse Dziesinski originally faced four additional charges with a controlled substance delivery (schedules 1, 2, and 3), two weapons felony firearm charges, and a maintaining a drug house charge — charges that were all dismissed. He pleaded guilty to a controlled substance delivery charge last month.
Prior to his sentencing, Dziesinski’s attorney Justin Wilson argued that Dziesinski should receive a more lenient sentence stating that he is remorseful of his actions and he wishes to change for the better.
Wilson also pointed the blame on Elizabeth Londo, a person arrested along with Dziesinski for possession of methamphetamines with intent to deliver, who had been sentenced to 85 months to 20 years on Sept. 5, stating that she was the mastermind behind the drug trade and that Dziesinski was following along.
“Seems like Mr. Dziesinski at most was along for the ride with somebody he should have had better judgment spending time with or being around,” Wilson said.
Alpena County Prosecutor Cynthia Muszynski contested this characterization of Dziesinski mentioning, among other things, that it was both he and Londo who were the subject of many tips about illegal drug trading in Alpena.
“There were a lot of tips being called in regarding this particular group of people,” Muszynski said. “Since they have been taken off the streets, your honor, there has been a significant decline in the number of tips that have come in regarding drug trafficking in our particular community.”
In addition to methamphetamines, 717 grams of MSM, a cutting agent, was seized as a part of Dziesinski’s arrest, and because of this, he was ultimately sentenced to 50 months to 20 years with credit for 222 days served.

∫ Brandon Ruark pleaded guilty to possession of methamphetamines and resisting a police officer, two counts of possession of methamphetamines with intent to deliver, and one felony weapons charge.
