Alcona school district opening new preschool
As part of the district’s strategic plan for the past four years, Alcona Community Schools is partnering with NEMSCA to open a new three and four-year-old preschool on campus.
The preschool will have eighteen students and be taught by three staff employed by NEMSCA.
The district will now have 54 available placements through three separate classrooms on campus.
“The district is thrilled to offer a third classroom of preschool, all found on campus. The importance of early learning and social development is vital. We have had waiting lists for several years, and adding a classroom should move us closer to universal preschool for all Alcona students,” Alcona Superintendent Dan O’Connor said.
If there are questions regarding enrollment, please get in touch with Robyn Hart, Family Services Coordinator for NEMCSA Head Start/GSRP Ph/text: 989/590-7217.
