Townships asking for input on updated master plan

Three townships — Alcona, Hawes and Caledonia — are working with the Northeast Michigan Council of Governments to update the Tri-Township Master Plan and are asking anyone who lives or has visited the areas to give their opinions on the plan.

A master plan helps guide the future of the townships in areas like planning, zoning, and more.

To place your input, the townships have made an online survey available to gather public opinion. The townships said they hope to hear from residents, business owners, workforce, and visitors.

To take the anonymous survey, go to any of the tri-township websites — alconatownship.com/, hawestwp.com/ or caledoniatwp.net/wordpress/ — and a link will pop up to take the survey.

You can also visit each website for more information on how to obtain a hard copy of the survey.

The survey deadline is Aug. 18.
