ALPENA -- Thunder Bay Arts presents Hooked on Music in the big tent at the Michigan Brown Trout Festival on Saturday night.
The evening will feature four live bands: Chris Crown and the Get Down Band, STOKER, The Truckey Road Experience, and The Scholastic News.
Admission is $5, and the tent opens at 7 p.m. Music starts at 8 p.m.
Chris Crown and the Get Down Band
Chris Crown is an acoustic fingerstyle blues artist who blends many music styles, including folk and jazz, while always rooted in traditional blues. Crown's recent obsession with the blues genre and its history has taken him on pilgrimages to Detroit, Chicago, Memphis and the Mississippi Delta. He even took his new bride on a "blues honeymoon" seeking out blues landmarks and as his wife describes the graves of "old dead blues guys." Chris Crown and his bandmate "Easy" Lee Kitzman founded the Alpena Street Performer series eight years ago. This nonprofit group entertains the Alpena community from 6 to 8 p.m. every Friday during the summer.

STOKER
STOKER is a variety classic rock band comprised of Jeffrey Claus, Kevin Cole, Mark Williams, and Bob Rohman, from the Oscoda area. Claus played professionally for 35 years in the Tampa, Florida area. Cole and Williams both previously played with local bands, including Donny Hartman. Rohman, bassist, is known well in the Oscoda area running sound and also helping with other local bands. STOKER has been performing together for over five years.
The Truckey Road Experience
The Truckey Road Experience is a local band that plays classic rock and edgy country. They are a crowd favorite at many local festivals.
The Scholastic News
The Scholastic News is a jazz/rock/fusion band composed of four multi-instrumentalists who met in elementary school: Connor Caplis on keys and guitar, Cameron Stevens on drums, Kyle Draper on bass, and Nick Lusardi on sax. They've been featured at the Sunrise Suds Festival, the Thunder Bay Folk Festival, the French Road Bash, and more.
