Possible lightning strike topples church display
News Photo by Michael Gonzalez A decorative display at Immanuel Lutheran Church fell over earlier this week, though church officials aren’t quite sure yet how it happened. Nobody witnessed the occurrence in person and early church workers found debris blocking the road to church driveway. Tony White, head of church properties, said cameras did not show the exact moment, but a bright early morning flash of light, followed by the display crumbling down has led to speculation that a lightning strike could be the culprit. Immanuel Lutheran Church hopes to fix it and will get quotes from masonry workers to start the insurance claim process.
