July 3

1:16 p.m.: Woodward Ave residents were given verbal warnings about riding ATV with no helmets and trespassing on private property.

4:00 p.m.: Commercial burglary alarm in Lewiston, officers responded all was secure.

6:21 p.m.: Officer was approached at Freddie’s by a resident whose vehicle broke down North of Clear Lake Campground requesting a tow.

July 4

4:29 a.m.: Fire alarm at Wayne Wire, Hillman Fire and officers responded and all was secure.

2:38 p.m.: Deer/ Vehicle accident at Morrow and Brandt Rd, vehicle was able to be driven home.

11:04 pm A Clear Lake Drive resident states a group of teenagers are tearing up the road, drinking and being incredibly loud. Officers were unable to locate individuals.

July 5

10:56 a.m.: A male subject riding his quad on the ORV trail found a U haul truck he thought to be abandoned stuck on the trail. A deputy responded to find two subjects in the truck. The female subject had a Montmorency County warrant and the male subject had an Alpena County warrant. Both subjects were taken into custody and lodged in Alpena County Jail.

12:47 p.m.: A two-vehicle crash in Albert Township was reported via 911. Montmorency County Sheriff’s Office, along with Albert Township Fire and Tri Township EMS all responded to the scene. No one was transported to the hospital and all units cleared without incident.

12:55 p.m.: Multiple 911 calls came in referencing trees down on M-33 North. One tree was on a powerline and it was smoking. MCSO deputies, Tri Township Fire, Atlanta DNR, Hillman Fire, MDOT and the Road Commission all responded to the scene to clean up the trees.

July 6

9:07 p.m.: A moped was reported stolen in Avery Township, an investigation is ongoing.

July 7

12:08 a.m.: A dispute was reported in Briley Township; deputies responded and separated the parties involved and cleared without incident.

6:38 p.m.: A Briley TWP woman reports a neon green and black motorcycle at high rates of speed going down Lake 15 Rd multiple times a day, officers were unable to locate.

9:39 p.m.: An Atlanta resident reported a suspicious vehicle at her neighbor’s residence, vehicle was found to be owned by homeowner.

July 8

12:13 p.m.: Noise complaint at Emerick Park, parties were asked to keep it down.

5:00 p.m.: A Helen St resident informed dispatch of fireworks being set off near their home. Officer advised it was just firecrackers.

11:58 pm A Lewiston resident reported a person possibly squatting at their residence and individual may still be on property, officer’s responded but we unable to locate any individuals.

July 9

10:52 a.m.: Residential Alarm in Lewiston, officers responded as was secure.

1:40 p.m.: A Hillman resident reported that approximately 10 reality signs were stolen from his front yard.

8:40 p.m.: Multiple callers about a neon green and black motorcycle flying down Lake 15 and 487, officer were able to locate the individual at his residence and advised him to slow it down.
