ALPENA — The driver of an SUV was transported to MyMichigan Medical Center Alpena Friday afternoon after her vehicle crashed into a pole and landed in the ditch about 30 feet off the roadway near the intersection of U.S.-23 North and East Grand Lake Road. Officials from Alpena Township Fire Department, Michigan State Police-Alpena Post, the Alpena County Sheriff’s Office, and paramedics with the City of Alpena responded to the scene.
