FRANKENMUTH — The Alpena High School boys golf team competed Friday at the Fortress in Frankenmuth for the first day of MHSAA state finals. In what proved to be a tough scoring day, Alpena shot 348 as a team.

Gavin Hamp led the team with a 79. Easton Schultz shot 85; Harry Kaszubowski shot 90; Avery Spicer shot 94, and Anden Marceau shot 96.

Alpena tees off today at 9 am.
