Bagged lawn material and brush pickup in Alpena is scheduled for Monday-Thursday next week at the following times and locations:

Monday: The area east of Ripley Boulevard and south of Washington Avenue.

Tuesday: The area north of the river and east of Chisholm Street, from 14th Avenue to the city limits.

Wednesday: The area west of Ripley Boulevard and south of Washington Avenue.

Thursday: The area north of Washington Avenue and west of US-23/Chisholm Street to the city limits.

Residents are reminded that materials should be placed at the curb no earlier than two days before your scheduled pickup day and no later than 6 a.m., of your scheduled pickup

day.

Brush piles are to be no larger than six-feet-by six-feet with the cut ends facing the curb and that bagged material should be piled separately from the brush.

The Public Works Service Center, located at 1001 Long Lake Avenue, is open daily, Monday-Friday, from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. for drop-off of bagged lawn materials for city residents only.

The Public Works Service Center will also be open from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on June 10 for drop off of bagged lawn materials (no brush) for city residents only.
