Alpena students are performing well across the board in Imagine Math programs, officials from Alpena Public Schools announced in a news release on Thursday.

Imagine Math is a supplemental online learning program that builds problem-solving skills and conceptual understanding aligned to Michigan state standards. The program differentiates instruction for students at all proficiency levels, helping them build confidence and proficiency in mathematical skills.

According to the release, APS is ranked second in Michigan with the greatest number of students with 30+ lessons passed. Alpena students make up eight of the top 20 Michigan students with the most passed lessons with one each from Sanborn, Besser, and Hinks elementary schools, two from Wilson Elementary School, and three from Ella White Elementary School.

Ella White third grader Lana Bruning leads the state in lessons passed, the release said, and Sanborn is currently ranked the No. 1 school with the most lessons passed in Michigan.
