Alpena man arrested for domestic violence
On Friday, a 50-year-old Alpena man was arraigned on one count assault with intent to do great bodily harm less than murder, and one count of domestic violence second offense.
On April 19, the man got into an argument with the alleged victim after they accused him of injecting her cigarettes with methamphetamine. When the alleged victim went to call the police, the man attacked them and then fled the scene in a black Chevrolet pickup truck, according to a news release.
Michigan State Police arrested the man later that day and lodged him in the Alpena County Jail.
His next scheduled court appearance is on May 10, 2023, at 2 p.m.
