Effective immediately, the Long Rapids Road Bridge over the Thunder Bay River has been posted with a reduced weight limit allowable to cross, the Alpena County Road Commission announced Thursday.
This reduced limit only applies to two unit trucks and is reduced from 77 Tons to 55 Tons. One unit loads and three-unit loads are not affected.
This reduced loading shall remain in effect until the bridge superstructure is replaced which is scheduled for 2025.
