ALPENA — Three Alpena Community College students, Alyssa DeLisle, Kristina Teeples, and Meagan Wright were recognized as Alpena Community College’s representatives on the 2023 Phi Theta Kappa All-Michigan Academic Team during a ceremony held on Monday in East Lansing.

DeLisle has demonstrated excellence, leadership, and success as a fulltime student as well as working part-time as a certified nursing assistant on weekends. She plans to go on for her bachelors in science of accounting.

Teeples is currently in the second semester of the Licensed Practical Nursing program at ACC. She has worked in health care since 2008. This led her to wanting to complete her education in the field. She will go on to the RN program at ACC.

Wright was home-schooled until she began college at age 16. She completed ACC’s Early College program and after graduating in May 2023 she plans to transfer to Grand Valley State University to major in biomedical science before entering dental school.
