Alpena man arrested for possession of sexually abusive material, activity

ALPENA — A  33-year-old Alpena man has been arrested for aggravated child sexually abusive activity, possessing child sexually abusive material, and using a computer to commit a crime, the Michigan State Police announced Tuesday.

As a result of the investigation, several electronic devices were seized from his home during a residential search warrant. Law enforcement allegedly obtained videos and images of minors and children. The devices were sent to the Michigan State Police Computer Crimes Unit for analysis. Troopers arrested the man at his home on Feb. 18 and he was lodged in the Alpena County Jail. 

The suspect faces one count of aggravated child sexually abusive activity, three counts of aggravated child sexually abusive material possession, and two counts using a computer to commit a crime. Bond was set at $250,000.
