Deputies from the Alpena County Sheriff's office, the Michigan State Police and Alpena Township rescue personnel responded to a report Monday of an unconscious female found after her child ran to a neighbor's home to call for help.
On arrival, first responders began life saving actions and the female was transported to MyMichigan Medical Center Alpena.
Her child was taken into protective custody until family from outside of the area arrived. At this time, police say it does not appear any foul play or drugs or alcohol were Involved.
Alpena County Sheriff Deputies are continuing to follow up on the incident.
