Jury gives guilty verdict in cocaine trafficking trial
Steven Wyman, 63, faces a probable prison sentence after a jury last week found him guilty of delivering 175 grams of cocaine trafficked from a motorcycle club near Lake City to Alpena.
Wyman was found guilty of one count of delivery of cocaine, second or subsequent offense.
Police say Wyman drove a vehicle to the Lake City club on Christmas morning of 2021 and returned with the cocaine as part of a delivery scheme involving another Alpena man.
A person convicted of the crime for which the jury found Wyman guilty could be sentenced to up to 20 years in prison. His repeat-offender status means a minimum sentence of five years unless the sentencing judge finds good reason to depart from the guidelines.
