ALPENA — No one was seriously hurt in a two-car crash on U.S.-23 North shortly after noon today.

One of the vehicles involved left the roadway and smashed into a telephone pole, which severely damaged the front end of the Jeep Patriot.

The wreck limited the flow of traffic to one lane as first responders secured and cleared the scene.

The Alpena Township Fire Department, Michigan State Police, Alpena County Sheriff’s Office, and Alpena County Ambulance Service responded to the scene.
