Alpena County is extending the deadline to apply for various board and commission vacancies, including the Alpena County Library board, Parks and Recreation Commission, and Planning Commission, through Nov. 1.

Anyone interested can go on the county website at alpenacounty.org under “Announcements” for more information or stop by the commissioners’ office at 720 W. Chisholm St., Suite 7 to pick up an application.
