Rogers City boil water order in effect

Rogers City water customers should boil their water before consuming it, the city announced on Tuesday.

As a precaution, the city issued the boil order after its water system lost pressure because of a ruptured water main.

Water is safe for bathing and laundry but should be boiled for one minute before consumption, according to a news release.

The city did not specify how long residents should continue to boil their water.
