Ninth Avenue, between Sable Street and Tawas Street in Alpena, will be closed to all traffic for tree removal today, starting at 8 a.m. It is expected to reopen to traffic by 5 p.m.

Signage and barricades will be present to guide traffic around the closure, but motorists are advised to seek alternate routes.
