ALPENA — Tickets for Options Pregnancy Center’s Fall Fundraiser, “A Night with Pam Tebow” are available, and seats are limited. The special event will begin at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 29 at St. Anne’s Parish.

Tickets are $50 per person or $90 per couple. Tickets are available at Olivet Book & Gift and All Saints Parish. The event will include decadent dessert, coffee, live music, and a silent auction.

Pam Tebow, author, speaker, missionary, wife, and mother, will share her story about “choosing life during a time of medical uncertainty,” an OPC press release explains. “Many of you are familiar with the result of that pregnancy — Tim Tebow.”

OPC Board Member Paige Bilyeu is excited to have Pam Tebow come speak in Alpena.

“We’re excited,” Bilyeu said. “I think it will be a really nice evening.”

She explained the importance of OPC’s mission.

“We are here to support any woman who becomes pregnant, any man whose significant other becomes pregnant,” Bilyeu said. “To give them information and give them support about what some of their options are.”

She noted that they provide resources and counseling, but they do not give referrals to doctors. They offer free pregnancy tests.

OPC is renovating and repurposing an area church building at 233 Cavanaugh St., which will house resources, a maternity closet, a private counseling room, larger meeting area, and ultrasound services. OPC is a nonprofit organization, and all services are free to the public.

“We would love to say that we will be ready for most services in our new building by the end of 2022,” OPC Executive Director Emily Potter stated in a press release.

“As with many small nonprofit organizations, the last couple of years have been a challenge for OPC,” the press release noted. “However, with the help of our supportive and giving community, they hope to overcome any setbacks.”

OPC is seeking volunteers to help with renovations, as well as serve on committees and in the center itself. Financial support is always welcome.
