ALPENA – Residents can get tested for COVID-19 at an event at the Alpena County Fairgrounds from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sept. 9.

Health officials will offer rapid antigen tests, with results in 30 to 45 minutes, and PCR tests, which provide results within two to three days.

Those desiring a test do not need an appointment. Insurance and identification information will be requested but are not required.

Results will be texted or emailed.
