Alpena residents can help their Alpena High School Wildcats celebrate this Friday's homecoming by planting a green and white 'We are Wildcats' sign in their front yard.
Signs are available at every Alpena Public Schools school building or the Alpena Chamber of Commerce for $5 each.
The district will celebrate homecoming with a parade at 4:45 p.m. Friday from Ella White Elementary School to Alpena High School, followed by a tailgate party at 5 p.m. at the high school's stadium.
A Wildcat Hall of Fame induction ceremony begins at 6:15 p.m., and a homecoming football game against Gaylord High School kicks off at 7 p.m.
