Women’s pheasant hunt planned near Hubbard Lake

ALPENA — Women who want to become more confident shooters can participate in a Women on the Wing pheasant hunt on Sept. 10 at Rapid Wings Pheasant farm near Hubbard Lake.

Presented by Pheasants Forever and promoted by the Michigan Department of Natural Resources, the event will include clay target shooting and a pheasant hunt, with guided instruction provided by experienced female pheasant hunters.

The $75 registration fee also includes a Pheasants Forever yearly membership and lunch.

Participation is limited to 10 hunters aged 18 or older.
