OSSINEKE — A two-vehicle crash sent two people to the hospital on Friday when a car’s driver failed to yield at an intersection in Ossineke.

The car’s driver and passenger were transported to MyMichigan Medical Center Alpena with non-life threatening injuries, police said.

The car, headed west on East Nicholson Hill Road, pulled in front of a minivan headed south on U.S.-23 South.

The minivan crashed into the car’s passenger-side door. The force of the impact spun the car around until it stopped, facing east, on the road from which it had come, police said.

The minivan’s driver was not injured, police said.
