Courtesy Photo Supporters gather at a candlelight vigil on Saturday at the covered bridge near Duck Park in Alpena to honor Jayde McDonnell, a 2-year-old girl killed in Alcona County last month. Organizers held the vigil across the road from MyMichigan Medical Center Alpena, where McDonnell’s mother, Adrienne Pavelka, brought the girl, already dead, on July 22. Pavelka and another person, Aaron Trout, have been charged with murder during the commission of child abuse in the child’s death.
