Police arrest Ossineke man for catalytic converter theft
Police on Aug. 12 arrested Nathan Meese, 29, of Ossineke, after a five-month investigation into the theft of at least one catalytic converter from a delivery truck in March.
Surveillance footage helped lead police to Meese, according to a news release from the Michigan State Police.
Meese was arraigned on Tuesday in the 88th District Court in Alpena for one count of larceny from a motor vehicle.
In Alpena’s 26th Circuit Court, Meese currently also faces a separate charge of breaking into a vehicle in March and a charge of breaking and entering and larceny in a building in February.
