Road project begins in Alcona County
Gov. Gretchen Whitmer announced in a press release Monday the Michigan Department of Transportation will invest $506,000 to seal cracks and chip seal seven miles of M-72 from east of Crooked Lake Road to M-65, and M-65 to O’Donnell Road in Alcona County.
Based on economic modeling, this investment is expected to directly and indirectly support six jobs. The project began on Monday, and is expected to wrap up about Sept. 9.
